The French Barn is a light filled and spacious French inspired cottage built from recycled materials and furnished with inviting comfort and warmth. The open plan living areas in the main building consist of three adjoining rooms each with French doors which offer commanding views to the West or access to a sheltered, walled courtyard beautifully planted and perfect for relaxing. Beyond the courtyards are expansive views of the Wairau Plains made famous by Marlborough’s world renowned wine industry. THERE IS NO NEED TO VENTURE FAR WITH DOG POINT ESTATE OFFERING BEAUTIFUL WALKING TRACKS ON THE DOOR STEP.
Meander your way through native plantings and vineyards, enjoying spectacular views over the valley and out towards Wellington in the distance. While Marlborough is famous for its award winning wines and gourmet produce including organised winery tours and tastings , the nearby Queen Charlotte and Pelorus Sounds are equally renowned offering activities such as boating, sailing, hiking and fishing. Other activities include a visit to the famous Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre , Marlborough's Wine Museum , Brayshaw Park , the Wither Hills Walkway, an Artist's Trail, local galleries and garden visits.
